MINUTES FROM THE EAST COURSE COMBINE MEETING OF

Monday September 8, 2003

The meeting was called to order at 19:00 by ECC president Lyle Loomis.

MINUTES FROM THE LAST MEETING:  The minutes from the meeting of August 4, 2003 were read by Katy Bagu.  A motion to accept the minutes was made by Jesus Hernandez, the second from Dave Bagu.  The motion passed.

FINANCIAL REPORT:  The financial report was read by Katy Bagu (attached).  A motion to accept the report was made by Jesus Hernandez, the second from Gary Cassino.

OLD BUSINESS

No old business was conducted.

NEW BUSINESS

COMPLIANCE AGGREEMENT:  ECC President Loomis thanked Mike and Susan Smith for the efforts in distributing the Compliance Agreement.

RACE TEAMS:  The clubs in the ECC reported the following number of teams for the 2003 YB season.  Bonita – 24 teams, La Puente – 14 teams, Nuevo Valley – 5 teams, Palm Springs – 8 teams, San Gabriel Valley – 8 teams, Santa Anita – 8 teams, for a total of 59 teams.  The Pomona Club was not in attendance.   

A motion to raise the team fee from $135.00 to $150.00 was made by Charlie Ettansperger, the second from Gary Cassino.  The motion passed.

CRATES AND CLEANING:  Mike Smith reported a problem getting the crates cleaned properly and the need to establish away of policing and possible corrective action.  President Loomis volunteered to check all the crates at last pick-up point and report back. 

A motion to establish corrective action was made by Mike Smith, with a second from Kathy Bagu. The first offense would be a warning. The second offense would be a fine of $5.00 per crate.  The motion passed. 

ADDITIONAL CRATES:  Katy Bagu would work on getting crates for the Nuevo Valley Club.

TRAINING TOSSES:  Mike Smith reported the combine would use the race truck to make approximately three training tosses.  Two from No. Palm Springs and the last from Indio, which would also make a good practice race for the clubs to participate in.    

REPORT FROM URBAN PAULUS:  Urban reported that he was in the process of repairing the combine master data base for Winspeed 3.11 and that all clubs must up date to Winspeed 3.11 in time for the young bird series.  Urban also handed out a Winspeed Information Form to all club representatives.   Clubs are to use these forms to indicate any changes to their membership’s race information and then forward them to Urban.

ADJOURNMENT:  A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Gary Cassino.  The second came from Kathy Bagu.  The motion passed and the meeting adjourned at 20:07.
